The development of the possibility of a South African Federation of Therapeutic Communities is some of the best news during 2009 and all the global troubles. In addition to receive information of the possibility of the creation of a therapeutic community within the criminal justice system, is without a doubt a strong message of all the commitment and struggles which you have all faced, and it sounds like, are overcoming- Rowdy has been able to provide some feedback of the fantastic developments in South Africa, which have emerged through the period of your conference, and without a doubt a lot of hard work before this point in time. On behalf of the European Federation of Therapeutic Communities and of course the Phoenix House Haga community, It is my privilege to attempt in this brief message, to convey not only our congratulations but also a message of solidarity to you all, I look forward to meeting you in the not too distant future.
